The Conversion |
|
|
|
As for the raw materials, you can be
rest assured that LimeLite exceeds
all OEM standards for galvanealed
steel in the production process.
This means you will own a limousine
that is built to last throughout the
tests and rigors of time.
Limelite’s floor is constructed of a
low-alloy steel that delivers
high-strength and resistance to
protect against harsh weather
conditions. The roof bracing
system bonds hot galvanealed steel
on 16” centers to the existing roof
panel. OEM connectors are used
to extend electrical harnesses.
Care is taken to strategically place
the harnesses to avoid effects of
humidity and temperature extremes.
Factory pillars that are used in all
our conversions are built to exact
QVM standards. The rocker
panels and header extensions are
two-sided and hot dipped, once again
exceeding OEM standards. To properly
ensure that you have a smooth, quiet
ride, all of the body parts are
locked in so there is no flex to
change our exact cut specifications.
All QVM and CMC standards are either
met or exceeded. Precision of
all stretches ranging from 6” to
120” is built within 1/16th of an
inch tolerance for exact
specifications. For all of our
extensions that range from 85” to
120”, we use only OEM body mounts.
This results with a sturdier chassis
that delivers a very smooth and
enjoyable ride. Extra care is
taken to fit the vehicle with
heavy-duty isolators in order to
help limit vibration in the cabin.
Limelite’s aluminized steel exhaust
ensures a nice quiet ride. The
exhaust system is made out of
aluminized steel and strategically
mounted. All interior panels
are carefully primer etched prior to
installation of the side panels to
ensure the vehicle will be built to
last and fight the corrosive effects
of the weather.

Safety |
| |
For increased safety, we weld 8ga
rectangular tubing to the front,
center and rear OEM pillars for all
120” models and above. The 8ga
rectangular tubing is also used in
other models that need structural
reinforcement in strategic
locations. The side panel
extensions are bolted to the car
rather than welded. Side
impact protection integrated into
the side panels and energy absorbing
components in the consoles and
seats. The roof bracing system
bonds galvanealed steel on 16”
centers to the existing roof panel.
The emergency reserve starting
battery is an 850-CCA battery that
is vented and will deliver the power
when you need it most. The
battery is also protected with
heavy-gauge vinyl. The braking
system and tire requirements are
designed in order to accommodate the
vehicles weight, as if it were fully
loaded with passengers. The OEM
braking system is fitted with
oversized front brake pads along
with rear braking cylinders to
compensate for the added weight
capacity. Special care is
taken to select the proper Moog
heavy-duty spring.
The end result is a much safer and
smoother ride.

Paint |
|
Our epoxy-urethane coating that is also
unique in the limo industry will protect
the exterior of the conversion.
The end result is a superb paint job,
rivaling that of a stock paint job.
The exterior will be protected with a
coating that is resistant to both
chipping and damage from acid rain.
Only non-conductive sealants are used
along with stainless steel fasteners to
avoid rust.

|
In
order to keep your customers COOL in the Summer,
and HOT in the Winter, LimeLite utilizes two air
conditioning evaporator unit that is able to
dissipate heat effectively without the effects
of rust. The evaporator delivers 19,200
BTU’s of cooling power. There is a Fog
Machine option that is available which
ventilates Fog through the Air Conditioning
vents for the passengers to enjoy. For
those cold days and nights, the heater core
produces warm air which is channeled through the
floor level. There is also an auxiliary
air conditioning condenser to help improve heat
exchange. The OEM wool felt which is used
for the interior, filters out sound, vibration
and temperature extremes. The control
panel is fitted with an electrical system
control panel from either ICS or Limo Touch.
These control panels utilize a low voltage
switching signal system that carries a limited
lifetime warranty. The control panel
enables the passenger to control the surrounding
environmental temperature, lighting effects,
mood effects, and divider controls. To
ensure you have comfortable, long-lasting seats,
Limelite uses 11 Gauge tension springs and
Recaro-style webbing to build a seat that will
last through the tests of time. The
limousine can also come equipped with optional
CD sound system and laser light show that is
guaranteed to rock!

|
Final inspection of the finished product including
the interior, exterior, undercarriage and all
electrical systems. |
| |
|
Once all of the above steps have been
followed and adhered to, a final
inspection is done to double check all
of the building processes to properly
ensure your limousine has been built
both properly and professionally…just
like you expect it to be.
